This is the first book I’ve read by Mia Sheridan, and I don’t know why I haven’t discovered her before now! What a great, but bittersweet story.
Evie and Leo both had rough starts in life. Ending up in the same foster home, the two quickly become best friends. When Leo is suddenly adopted at the age of 15, he promises to write and call and that he’ll come back for Evie and when she turns 18. She never sees him again. 8 years later, Jake comes into her life. She feels an instant connection with this man, but things really aren’t quite what they seem……
I am looking forward to the next book in the series!!
